Looking Through Mario Balotelli

Mario Balotelli is one of the most controversial, if not biggest enigmas, in football world. Despite everything you may have known about him, especially from stats, you probably haven’t known him as he is. What are his potentials? What is he up to? This article will help you to understand this world player better than anyone else can tell you.

Mario Balotelli and Jurgen Klopp

If you want to understand Balotelli, learning only about him won’t be enough. There are two persons you need for that: Balotelli himself and Jurgen Klopp. For now, let’s focus on Balotelli. For 3 consecutive seasons, Balotelli has said to us that ‘it is a new me.’ He also said that he wants to ‘concentrate on football,’ despite his decreasing performance. This may well be through the media and all its pressure for calling Balotelli ‘a wonderkid. Whatever the reason might be, we know one thing for sure. Balotelli is losing his confidence, the very key to a football player’s performance.

Time to concentrate

Yup, that’s the only way to counter it. Balotelli must train harder and concentrate better on his goals: he deserves a second chance to be part of Liverpool. And one more thing. He needs a teacher, someone who can discipline and support him. He needs someone like the current manager of Liverpool. Klopp might have said that he was not interested in Balotelli, but that was far before Balotelli claimed that now he is ‘a new me.” Now, he is a much better asset to be put on the team. However, Balotelli himself should prove his worth to team and he better do it quickly.

Getting back to the team

Everyone knows how excellent Balotelli is at the field. He did show us what a partner actually means while partnering with Daniel Sturridge. Furthermore, with his skills and everything, Balotelli would also be a great fit for the team with Coutinho, Lallana, Matip, Grujic, and Karius inside.

But, what about his statement? You know, when he told he has negative relationship with Rodgers?

Well, perhaps he is right about that one, but let’s not forget about one important fact. Mario Balotelli is not the only one suffering under Rodger’s Reign. There are many other so-called ‘committee’ players who shared the same fate like him, such as Emre Can.

Would it be different under Klopp?

Yes, it would. Balotelli may get the chance he needs from Klopp. A very rare chance to unlock his potential and get a return ticket to the team. If that happens, we will certainly get a very special striker on the field.

The biggest challenge here is Balotelli himself. He must fight through it. He must prove to Klopp that he has the pressing style Klopp loves. Moreover, he must commit to change his playing style. Perhaps, he can start it with playing offensive maneuver against the enemy’s defense line.

If he wants to be part of Liverpool, it’s now the time to prove that he’s worth of it.
