No bid for Cook and No reunion for Gayle

NO GO FOR COOK

The Liverpool Echo have reported that Jurgen Klopp has no intention to pursue a deal for Bournemouth midfielder Lewis Cook.

There were reports over the weekend that Liverpool were looking into signing the highly rated 21-year-old.

Cook has had a breakout season at the Vitality Stadium coming off the back of skippering the England U20 side to a World Cup in South Korea.

However, there appears to be no interest at this moment in time from Klopp to try and bring Cook to Anfield.

TAGSETH INJURY BLOW FOR GERRARD

Edvard Tagseth has been ruled out for the remainder of the season for the Liverpool Under-18s team.

Tagseth has suffered a stress response injury in his left leg which looks set to keep him sidelined until the end of May.

The Norwegian midfielder is highly thought of by manager Steven Gerrard and has missed just two league games for his side this season.

GAYLE DOUBT FOR SATURDAY

Liverpool have been offered an injury boost ahead of Saturday’s clash with Newcastle United, as their arch nemesis Dwight Gayle is a doubt.

Gayle brought many Liverpool fans to tears in the 2013/14 season when he scored in Crystal Palace’s remarkable 3-3 draw with the Reds, a game infamously known as ‘Crystanbul’.

However, there may not be a reunion in the Premier League tie on Saturday as Gayle is suffering from a hamstring injury.

The 28-year-old netted twice for Newcastle in their 2-2 draw with Bournemouth on Saturday but was withdrawn in the second half with the injury complaint.

The good […]

Liverpool FC Potential January 2026 Transfers

Liverpool have endured a tough time of it in the Premier League and Champions League so far this season, also crashing out of the League Cup. It is, in my opinion, entirely understandable why that might be the case, given the fact that this is a club that has been grieving the loss of a […]
