The Fallout from Phil Coutinho by @sulaiman444

Peter gets the thoughts of Sulaiman Abdulaziz on the situation with Philipe Coutinho

It’s an honour to be here and sharing my views with the amazing LFC fans. First, let’s agree with the reality which is that Phil  Coutinho, in the two previous seasons, has been the main man in the LFC team and he is the only one who creates something from nothing. He has everything: key passes, goals, assists, which are just to name a few strengths he possesses. In the current season we’ve been seeing different style of football from JK and we’ve seen many players who influence the team by changing the results in the critical time in such important games and applying the manager’s ideas. Klopp’s decision to let Coutinho leave in the middle of the season is still not reasonable for me regardless if there’s an available replacement or not .

On the other hand I believe Salah, Firmino and Mane will all be playing an important role and they can do their job in the attacking without Coutinho. Now we have Virgil Van Dijk who played a fantastic match against Everton and the man who was chosen by Klopp in the summer. If we could bring Naby Keita in Jan that would mean that we’d have a big addition in the midfield as well that would help us to achieve our goals.

I would like to thank everyone, especially my friend Peter Phillips for the invitation to write for Friends of Liverpool.

Even the most infuriatingly positive fans could have predicted that Klopp’s ‘heavy metal’ football would result in one of the most successful […]
