The Liverpool Loan Report: Sakho and Lennon impress

The Loan Report

Mamadou Sakho – Crystal Palace

The central defender continued his impressive form during the 2-2 draw with Leicester. Although conceding twice for only the second time since Sakho joined the starting XI the side battled back to level. It could have been worse for Palace and Sakho put in some impressive blocks to prevent his side falling further behind.

Lazar Markovic – Hull City

The Serbian had little impact during his 86 minute spell away at Stoke this weekend. He did have a chance in the first half which produced a save from the Stoke ‘keeper but that was about his only involvement in the game.

Danny Ward – Huddersfield Town

The ‘keeper conceded three goals over the bumper weekend of football league action but his side remained unbeaten to keep their slim hopes of automatic promotion alive. First up was the narrow 3-2 win over Preston where he could do little to stop either goal. Next was a slightly disappointing 1-1 draw against in-form Derby and it took a deflected shot to beat him.

Andre Wisdom – Red Bull Salzburg

The defender helped guide the Austrian side closer to the title with another clean sheet in the 2-0 win over Wolfsberger. Wisdom has now made 13 appearances in all competitions for the side who are 14 points clear at the top of the league.

Pedro Chirivella – Go Ahead Eagles

The Spaniard played the full 90 minutes of the disappointing 2-0 loss to Willem II. He, and the majority of his teammates had little impact on the game and his side remain bottom of the Dutch league.

Ryan Kent – Barnsley

Kent scored for Barnsley this weekend in the first of his two outings for the Yorkshire side. His goal came during the 3-2 away defeat to Wigan where he played the whole game. He also played the full 90 on Easter Monday during the 1-1 draw with Brentford at home.

Taiwo Awoniyi – NEC Nijmegen

The striker started his third straight game for the side but it ended in another defeat, this time to FC Twente. He did not record a shot during the game but that could be due to the lack of service behind him.

Allan Rodrigues – Hertha Berlin

The weekend’s game against Mainz 05 was his first start of 2017 and although it was largely unimpressive it was a good sign to see him back on the pitch.

Brooks Lennon – Real Salt Lake City

The young American scored his first professional goal in the win over Colorado Rapids. It was an impressive comeback as they only levelled the game with five minutes remaining. In all it was a good display for Lennon who played the whole game

Jon Flanagan (Burnley) once again was an unused substitute for the Burnley game.
