West Ham v Liverpool
With Liverpool facing a tough test against Sam Allardyce’s West Ham United today, I have tried to second guess Brendan Rodger’s team to play against the physical Hammers at Upton park today.
I have gone with Gerrard, Lucas and Joe Allen to compete in the midfield area where the Hammers are strong, they lie in 10th on 22 points, 3 points above Liverpool on 19.
I put in Assaidi on the left-flank, he is a Rodgers signing from Herenveen so he should be playing more often, especially with Suarez suspended.
As widely predicted Johnjo Shelvey may start up-front in the nominal forward position in the absence of Suarez, our only fit forward.
Prediction: 2-1 to Liverpool
