SAHIN DEAL COMPLETE & WILL WE BEAT MAN CITY?

Nuri Sahin has finally completed his medical at Melwood and signed his one year deal with Liverpool FC.

He becomes the first Turkish player ever to join LFC and I wish him all the best for the Season ahead. He is a skilful central mid-fielder with a great range of passing to his game, take note Charlie Adam.

His signing comes too late for Sunday’s visit of Manchester City to Anfield, which is a pity as we need all the quality we can get to beat The Premier League Champions.

Yes, Aguero is missing, but Tevez looks sharp and the have Dzeko and Balotelli to call on.

Gareth Barry is still out injured, but James Milner and Yaya Toure are very strong in midfield for City.

Liverpool are without Daniel Agger through suspension, a very harsh sending-off at the Hawthorns last Saturday, but Jamie played well against Hearts on Thursday night, so, hopefully, Carra and Skertel can contain City’s fire-power up-front.

Liverpool should line-up in midfield with Lucas, the impressive Joe Allen and Steven Gerrard, enough to trouble any team on their day and if Borini and Luis Suarez can click as a new partnership in attack by scoring some goals, then Liverpool will be in with a good shout to win the game.
