LIVERPOOL WILLING TO SELL ADAM & SPEARING TO GET DEMPSEY

Friends Of Liverpool

Liverpool has been approached with a £4 million bid by Stoke City for midfielder, Charlie Adam.

The Scottish International, bought for £8 million from Blackpool by former Liverpool icon, Kenny Dalglish does not figure in Brendan Rodger’s plans for the future, going forward.

A bid of £5 million will be accepted by the Liverpool hierarchy as they look to generate funds to finally land Clint Dempsey from Fulham.

Dempsey, the free-scoring midfielder has been ostracised from the first-team set-up by boss Martin Jol as he made clear his intention to leave Craven Cottage for the Reds.

To match the £8 million fee for the 29 year-old American, Brendan Rodgers is also willing to let Academy Graduate, Jay Spearing leave Liverpool for £3 million.

Owen Coyle’s Bolton Wanderers and Aston Villa are interested in buying the young lad.

So that would raise £8 million (sounds like a game of poker), enough to close the deal with Fulham for Dempsey who will add much-needed goals to Liverpool’s attack.

The pursuit of Chelsea’s Daniel Sturridge is still ongoing, though it it is believed that the London club are unwilling to lose their only back-up striker to Fernando Torres.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have the 2nd leg Europa League qualifier against Hearts at Anfield.

Expect Bredan Rodgers to put out a stronger side than he did up at Tannadice.

Liverpool Squad versus Hearts:

Reina, Kelly, Flanagan, Enrique, Johnson, Skrtel, Coates, Robinson, Carragher, Agger, Gerrard, Downing, Shelvey, Henderson, Adam, Allen, Cole, Suarez, Sterling, Borini, Carroll, Jones

Liverpool FC Potential January 2026 Transfers
