Friends Of Liverpool

Two goals by Craig Bellamy drove Liverpool towards success against Newcastle at Anfield and returning Captain Steven Gerrard scored a delightful chip on 77 minutes to seal a 3-1 victory over a dogged Newcastle following an unlucky own-goal by Daniel Agger under pressure on 25 mins.

The game was more about the victory than the performance and Liverpool dug it out in determined fashion.

The main feelings now are of relief and joy as we move ahead of Pardew’s team and Arsenal into 5th on 34 points along with Chelsea, for now.

Great to get the win and equaly good to see Stevie G back and amongst the goals.

Next up: Man City away in the League Tue 3rd, Jan.
