LIVERPOOL FACE LILLE NEXT IN EUROPE

Friends Of Liverpool

After Liverpool’s largely impressive 3-1 away win against Unirea tonight, we face a tricky tie against French side Lille in the next ‘knockout’ round of the Europa ‘League’?
The French side got past Fenerbahce 3-2 on aggregate after a 1-1 draw in Istanbul.
Turkish teams are notoriously difficult to beat, they don’t usually travel well, but with their intimidating home support at home, they often get the results they need.
So, a 1-1 draw in Istanbul is a fine result by the
French side, who lie third in the French League, they will be no pushovers, that’s for sure.
We played pretty well against Unirea tonight, despite going behind early on, we scored some good goals through Mascherano, Babel and Steven Gerrard to go through comfortably in the end.
The first leg against Lille will be played in France on Thursday, 11th March.
Next up for the Reds is Blackburn Rovers in the Premiership on Sunday at 3pm.
