LIVERPOOL PLAYER RATINGS V QPR

Raheem Sterling

Liverpool can count themselves mighty fortunate to have earned all three points at Loftus Road on Sunday.

Playing Emre Can in the holding role with Steven Gerrard upfront in the 1st half was a foolhardy decision by Brendan Rodgers and a better side would have beaten us out of sight before half-time.

Yet, Liverpool managed to win in a Kamikaze-like way at the end with two own goals by Dunne & Caulker to hand us a fortuitous victory that has sent us back into joint 4th in the League.

Player Ratings:

Mignolet: 5/10. Made some important saves, distribution very poor again.

Glen Johnson: 4/10.  Did not impose himself on the game.

Skrtel: 4/10. Looked hopeless, hapless & helpless throughout.

Lovren: 4/10.  Was not his usual self today.

Enrique: 4/10.  Was at fault for Vargas equalizer by not tracking his man.

Can: 5/10.  Just back after injury lay-off, not fully fit.

Lallana: 6/10.  Started well, was bossed out of it by QPR’s midfield.

Henderson: 6/10.  Worked hard, as always without reward in this game.

Gerrard: 7/10.  Was played too far up field 1st half, was much better in his holding role later in the game.

Sterling: 9/10. Was a constant menace throughout the game. His surging runs meant he was involved in all 3 goals.

Balotelli: 6/10.  Was wasteful at times but he was very unlucky not to score when waiting to pounce.

Subs: Coutinho: 8/10. Made a huge impact when he came on, scoring and setting up chances.
