Injury Problems? Another Midfielder? And Liverpool’s new App

Afternoon Bulletin

Injury News.

Joe Gomez will be unable for selection for tomorrow’s Premier League face off with Crystal Palace. The 20-year-old picked up an ankle injury only ten minutes into his third senior international appearance for England. The defender started the match at centre back as part of a back three, but has been used predominately as a right back by Jürgen Klopp this season.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is likely to start at right-back as Nathaniel Clyne still has made a senior appearance since his back injury in July.

Emre Can, Dejan Lovren and Andy Robertson all have slight knocks which could rule them out of the trip to Selhurst Park. Robertson has a dead leg, Can a slight back problem and Lovren is the most likely out of the three to miss out with an ankle problem.

Adam Lallana has told the club he is 100% ready to go and raring for the run in in the Premier League. The former Southampton man had a brief substitute appearance in England’s game with Italy and has said he is back to full fitness.

The England star did return from injury around two months ago, but Klopp revealed he was rushed back into action too soon and was struggling for match fitness.

Club News.

Liverpool FC have announced the release of their new quiz based app. The game is based on trivia from Liverpool’s rich 125-year history and tests fans knowledge of the club. This knowledge can be based on past players, memorable moments and many more topical subjects. The app is free to download on IOS and Android.

Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino, Ragnar Klavan, Simon Mignolet, Ben Woodburn, Sadio Mane and Andy Robertson returned to Melwood yesterday for training after the International break. A few other Liverpool FC stars did return on Wednesday, but the named players only returned from their respective countries yesterday in preparation for the trip to Crystal Palace at midday on Saturday.

Transfer News

Another week, another midfielder Liverpool have been linked to. Watford’s central midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure has been linked with a move to Anfield and The Hornets boss, Javi Gracia, has admitted they may have to sell the midfielder. However, the London club will demand £40million for the Liverpool target.
