Liverpool are highly doubtful that they will sign Brazilian shot-stopper, Alisson, in the summer. The Roma goalkeeper has been linked with a move to Anfield all through January after Jurgen Klopp couldn’t decide who his first-choice goalkeeper would be.
However, now with the pick-up of Loris Karius’ form and the massive asking price from the Italian club it’s highly unlikely any deal will go ahead. Top scorer Mo Salah left Roma in the summer for an initial fee of £36.9 million and the famous Italian club regret this highly and now want a lot more for their goalkeeper. They are asking for around £70 million.

The day after a smashing performance in Porto, Jurgen Klopp’s reds headed over to Marbella for a training camp that will last four days. Klopp has said the camp is to rebuild back his players fitness on return to Premier League action on the 24th of February with a home tie against West Ham United.
Liverpool spoke to club midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum and the Dutch midfielder said the camp is to “refresh the players bodies and minds”. Hopefully, this will come good for the Merseyside team as they look to prepare well for the business end of the season.
Nathaniel Clyne returned to training at the start of the week. The England full-back hasn’t played a single game this season after missing out through an injury. Klopp has said Clyne obviously needs more time until he returns to first-team action, but is well on his way back. The return creates a headache for Jurgen Klopp. With strong candidates performing well in the right-back spot this season, Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold won’t make it easy for the former Southampton man to get back into the side.
Sadio Mane has been nominated for the Champions League player of the week award after his hat-trick against Porto. His competitors are Ilkay Gundogan, Christian Eriksen and Marcelo.
