Swansea Review/WBA Preview by @DanVanderkamp

Peter talks to Dan Vanderkamp all things LFC.

It was a very disappointing result in South Wales but what were your thoughts on the team performance?

Shocking. That’s all I have on it. I (to my detriment) watched it back last night and it was just one of those games where it just didn’t happen for us. I seen someone make the point on Twitter that just a couple of years ago we were churning out 10-15 of these games a season and now it’s more like 2-3 a season and I won’t overreact about it because that’s the truth of it. We were on a big unbeaten streak and although it was disappointing we need to get back into a rhythm and if we can get another 15+ game unbeaten streak going we will be in good shape in all competitions come May.

The substitutes bench wasn’t the strongest on Monday with no “game changing” players should Liverpool be looking to strengthen now this has been highlighted?

I think so, but Jürgen may see it differently and we all know that if he wants a certain player and nobody else is available then he will hold out… although what that game was crying out for was Naby Keita… he gets the ball and bombs forward pulling defenders with him thus opening gaps for our front three.

Not many players stood out but who was your MOM against Swansea?

Honestly, I didn’t have any. Robertson played well in the second half.. by process of elimination he gets it as he didn’t do a lot wrong.

Do you think Klopp will go with a full strength team against WBA in the FA Cup?

We need to bounce back and this is an ideal chance to do so.. although I can see him giving Solanke a start as he really needs to get up and running if we are to use him as a back up should Sturridge go abroad.

What changes would you make to the team on Saturday ?

I’d leave it unchanged, personally – to me that’s our strongest 11 and 8/9 our of 10 times we’d beat whoever it is we are playing. The only change I’d consider is giving Ragnar Klavan a start in place Joel Matip.

How important is it to bounce back straight away on Saturday?

It’s huge. Losing once to a team we should beat can happen, twice in a row will affect confidence so getting back to winning ways makes the Swansea defeat just a blip on an otherwise great run of games.

Liverpool v WBA score prediction and why please?

I think we will give them a thrashing with our attacking players all getting on the score sheet. 3-0
