Klopp patience, left back talk and a potential departure

Afternoon Bulletin

Klopp will be patient

Jurgen Klopp has said that he’s going to be patient this summer as Liverpool try and land his transfer targets as they gear up for a Champions League and Premier League tilt. Speaking to the official Liverpool website on his return to Melwood for pre-season, the boss said that the club had to be patient at the moment but that they were working on things behind the scenes in spite of things being perhaps “more difficult” as Klopp said.

Bogdan Departure?

The Nottingham Post is reporting that Liverpool’s Hungarian goalkeeper Adam Bogdan is wanted by Nottingham Forest on a loan deal. The keeper was named as part of Jurgen Klopp’s 22 man squad for training on the first day of pre-season but was notable by his absence on Wednesday, fuelling rumours that he is already in talks with Forest. It’s hard to imagine that anything will stand in the way of Bogdan’s move.

Left back rumours

While rumours abound about the future of Alberto Moreno this summer, another left back at Liverpool could be on his way out temporarily. Youngster Sam Hart is on the radar of Grimsby Town who are looking to secure a loan deal for the 20 year old. Hart spent the first half of last season on loan at Port Vale before returning to play U23 football in January. Manager Russell Slade confirmed Town were looking at Hart as one of a number of targets.

Meanwhile, reported target at left back Dalbert Henrique of Nice has had his price named. The reported Liverpool and Inter target had an impressive season for the Ligue 1 side but Nice are not going to sell for anything less than his £26.3 million release clause in his contract. It remains to be seen if anything actually comes of this story.

Keita blow

In the summer’s latest transfer to and fro, Liverpool have reportedly been dealt a blow in their pursuit of RB Leipzig’s Naby Keita. The German side have said they will “definitely not let any key players go” especially the Guinean midfielder. However, with the current transfer climate, it remains to be seen whether or not they stick to that guarantee if the Reds decide to make a colossal bid.

Pre-season Training

The latest training updates are out and there’s encouraging signs on Liverpool’s social media channels for fans. Key man Sadio Mane looks to be in good spirits and back running and getting up to speed while long-term injury victim Danny Ings is looking hungry and keen. Hopefully we can see them back before long.
