Loan cancelled for Brazilian as Wisdom agrees Derby move

Afternoon Bulletin

Allan Rodrigues de Souza loan cancelled

According to reports, Hertha Berlin have cancelled the loan of Liverpool midfielder Allan Rodrigues de Souza and that the player will now return back to Liverpool. The Brazilian was all set to spend another season on loan at Hertha Berlin as he’s yet to qualify for a work permit to play for the Reds. In order for the Brazilian to qualify for a work permit, Liverpool need him to be playing regular football and that wasn’t the case at Berlin last season.

Apparently, the Berlin club is unwilling to meet the financial request as Liverpool tried to put terms into the agreement that the player would feature more prominently in the side and that the German club would need to pay a larger fee if he didn’t.

The player’s representatives will now be required to find a new club for Allan to go out on loan next season as he won’t be available for selection for the Reds.

Andre Wisdom agrees permanent Derby Move

Derby Couty have been heavily linked to the Liverpool man in the press since the end of last season and it is reported that Andre Wisdom will rejoin Derby County when the summer transfer window officially opens on July 1.

According to Sky Sports, the deal is worth just over £2million up front and could rise to £4.5m should certain performance criteria be met.

Wisdom has spent the previous four seasons out on loan, with Derby, West Bromwich Albion, Norwich City and Red Bull Salzburg where he won the Austrian league and cup double with Salzburg.

Wisdom has not made a first-team appearance for Liverpool since featuring against Swansea City in September 2013.

Coutinho refused to be linked with Barcelona

Philippe Coutinho has reiterated his desire to remain at Liverpool despite talk of a summer move to Barcelona. The £8.5m signing from Serie A giants Inter Milan in 2013 has been regularly linked with a move to the Catalan side over the past couple of seasons.

The 25-year-old scored 13 goals and provide seven assists in 30 appearances in the Premier League last term as he helped Liverpool finished in the top four and guiding Liverpool to Champions League qualification in Klopp first full season in charge.

Coutinho is currently on international duty with Brazil with a place in the 2018 World Cup in Russia up for grabs. Philippe Coutinho sends direct message to Liverpool fans about transfer reports

After Brazil’s 1-0 loss to bitter rivals Argentina at the weekend, Liverpool playmaker Coutinho is quoted as saying by the Independent:

“Talking about this is complicated. I have a contract with my club and it is long,

“So my focus is on the present and the national team. My focus is here.”

The Liverpool’s number 10 took on the captain armband for the first time during Brazil friendly with Australia in Melbourne. Even though Coutinho did not score or provide an assist in the game, he lead by example in a midfield role alongside David Luiz and Paulinho as the Selecao romped to a comfortable 4-0 victory.
