Transfer Rumours: Teenage striker to replace out-of-favour Sturridge?

Ajax 19-year-old teenage striker, Kasper Dolberg has been drawing attention from top Europe clubs this season with the likes of Manchester United and Dortmund keeping tab with the youngsters after scoring 10 goals for Ajax in the Eredivisie this season.

“Who doesn’t know Kasper Dolberg? You cannot play in Ajax, without being noticed. Kasper Dolberg has a very great future. He is a fantastic player. I love Danish footballers. I had Leon Andreasen at Mainz. He was a monster.I also have warm memories of Bo Svensson and Mohamed Zidan, who has a Danish wife. Danes have a good attitude and a strong mentality.” Klopp told Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet.

With such high praises, this could probably hint that Klopp might be eyeing a possible move for the young Danish in the summer.

Matip confident of top four finish

“I think we have the quality to go there and be on a good way [for the top four]. If we show our quality, I am positive we will do this.” Matip told the official Liverpool website. With just two wins in 2017, Joel Matip remains optimistic about Liverpool’s chances of finishing in the top four to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

After a series of poor performances since the turn of the year, Liverpool find themselves fifth in the Premier League, trailing leaders Chelsea by 11 points and 1 point off the Champions League spot. With Liverpool out of contention for both the FA Cup and the EFL Cup, the only hope of success this season will rest on their ability to qualify for Champions League next season.

Double injury blow ahead of Leicester game

Dejan Lovren and Daniel Sturridge will be a major doubt for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side when they face Leicester City on Monday according to sources from the Daily Mirror.

Defender Lovren has been battling with a knee injury which saw him missed the past two games. The Croatian international went to a German specialist earlier this week to assess his knee injury and will most likely to miss out on Monday game. Meanwhile, Sturridge remains doubtful due to effects from the virus he suffered last week as he sat out of Thursday training. The Liverpool striker will be re-assessed today to see if he can be selected for the Monday game against Leicester City.
