The Liverpool Loan Report

The Loan Report

Mamadou Sahko – Crystal Palace

The French defender made his debut for Palace in the 1-0 home win, lifting them out of the bottom three. He put in a commanding display against a fairly blunt Middlesbrough attack helping them to their first home league clean sheet since December.

Pedro Chirivella – Go Ahead Eagles

The Spanish midfielder started and was credited with an assist during the 3-1 loss to Vitesse Arnhem. His pass set up Dan Crowley to shoot from range for the consolation goal 10 minutes from time

Taiwo Awoniyi – NEC Nijmegen

The Nigerian played the second half of the Dutch sides defeat to Sparta Rotterdam. He was introduced at half time with his side trailing 1-0 but failed to make an impression on the game.

Danny Ward – Huddersfield Town

The Welsh keeper was back in the side following the FA Cup games last week and played twice for Huddersfield. He was in good form making several good saves during a 1-0 win over promotion chasing Reading. The second game was this weekend away at Ryan Kent’s Barnsley where the pair shared a 1-1 draw.

Ryan Kent – Barnsley

The left midfielder played an hour in the 1-1 draw with Huddersfield but was withdrawn as Barnsley were chasing the game. He looked to have drawn a foul in the box thanks to some excellent dribbling but a penalty was not awarded.

Lloyd Jones – Swindon Town

After his own goal last week, the young defender put in an improved performance in Swindon’s 3-1 victory over Coventry City. He put in a solid showing before being substituted in the 74th minute. Coventry’s goal came after his departure from the pitch.

Cameron Brannagan – Fleetwood Town

Cameron came on as a substitute with 10 minutes remaining of Fleetwood’s 3-0 win over Nothampton. With the game already won he could make little impact.

Lazar Markovic (Hull City) missed their game due to a minor injury

Andre Wisdom (Red Bull Salzburg) and Jon Flanagan (Burnley) were unused substitutes for their teams.
