Why Liverpool SHOULD move for Zlatan Ibrahimović this summer

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

This summer, Jurgen Klopp will finally have the chance to put his own stamp on proceedings at Anfield and who better to sign than the legendary Zlatan Ibrahimović. The Paris Saint-Germain striker is out of contract this summer and may look for a move to the Premier League – especially if the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal are interested in him.

And although he’s not getting any younger, Ibrahimović remains one of Europe’s best strikers and the forward can still make a major impact in the Premier League. Ibrahimović is currently clear at the top of the Ligue 1 scoring charts, with 27 goals in 31 games and must be high on Klopp’s list of priorities this summer, particularly if the former Borussia Dortmund boss wants to sell Christian Benteke.

If Liverpool are to take the leap to the next level, Ibrahimović could be the perfect addition to Klopp’s side. The Reds have the capacity to challenge for a Champions League spot next season and Ibrahimović would give another dimension alongside Daniel Sturridge, in the Liverpool attack. Who knows, Klopp could even lead Liverpool to their first Premier League title next season with Ibrahimović as the focal point.

The Sweden striker may join forces at Anfield and the Reds will feel confident of climbing up the Premier League table at the very least. Liverpool aren’t quite the complete package just yet but Ibrahimovic, Mario Gotze and a few more signings will stand them in good stead to challenge for a Champions League spot – and that is exactly where Liverpool want to be.

Only time will tell but Liverpool stand a great chance of challenging for the title next season… IF they sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The PSG striker is yet to announce whether he will attempt to sign a new deal with the Ligue 1 side or look elsewhere for a new club. If nothing else, one thing is for sure: Liverpool WILL be much stronger next year with Klopp at the helm and that first Premier League title is on the horizon.
