NOT GOOD ENOUGH BUT STILL EARLY DAYS

Adam Lallana

BASEL 1-0 LIVERPOOL

Liverpool fell short against an up for it Basel last night in The Champions League.

An unusually attacking side from Manager Brendan Rodgers including the likes of Markovic and Coutinho in a tough away game in Switzerland against a Basel team who have pedigree in this Competition, having beaten Man Utd, Chelsea and others, should have tempered Brendan Rodger’s attacking philosophies, for one game at least.

In my humble opinion, Liverpool should have started with Lallana and well..Lallana in place of Markovic. His performance against Everton at the weekend warrented definite inclusion from the start.

Wee Sterling looked jaded throughout, that’s understandable given the amount of games he has played all year.

Balotelli: Well, he does try but he looks lost on his own upfront.

Enter Daniel Sturridge: The sooner the better he returns, 21 goals in the League last Season, sorely missed.

Not the End of the World: We are joint 2nd in Group B alongside Basel and with back-to-back games against Real Madrid to come its still all to play for.
