DON’T GO JAMIE CARRAGHER

Friends Of Liverpool

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has hinted that he may quit the club in the Summer if he doesn’t get more playing time in the first team, especially in the Premier League.

Carra was handed a start against Norwich at the weekend and he helped the team keep a clean sheet as they won 5-0 at Anfield.

Now the veteran defender wants more game-time or he may be off:

“The manager has been great with me. He has tried to keep me involved. But listen, I want to start. I’m no different to any other player,” the veteran explained.

“It was only my second start in the league this season, which is disappointing from my point of view, but I said I wouldn’t complain and I’m just trying to get more starts and be involved between now and the end of the season.”

“I’ve played a lot in Europe, the FA Cup and League Cup, but the Premier League is the most important thing for the club and the players. We all want to play in that, and I’m no different.”

“I won’t lie, it’s been a difficult season for me in terms of starting games.”

With over 700 appearances for the Reds, the Bootle born Mersey ider has become one of the club’s living legends and it would be a wrench for him to leave Liverpool after so many years of heroic performances where he has won every major honour in club football, except the coveted League title.

Lets hope Brendan Rodgers gives him more playing time this season so that he sees out his career at Anfield, where we may well win the Premier League in the very near future.
