Liverpool’s Ressies easily beat Sunderland’s 5-1 at melwood this afternoon at Melwood.
Rodolfo Borell had the chance to pick Jay Spearing, Jonjo Flanagan and Sebastian Coates from the first team squad thanks to Kenny Dalglish’s wish to give them playing time ahead of the Carling Cup tie with Chelsea this night week.
And it was Sebastian Coates who scored his first goal for Liverpool after only two minutes when he headed home a Suso cross from the right.

Nathan Eccleston, back from his loan spell at Rochdale, came on as a sub for Adam Morgan on 61 mins and he managed to score two goals, one a great goal running from the halfway line to slam the ball past the keeper to make it 5-1.
