REDS FIGHT BACK TO DRAW WITH CITY

Friends Of Liverpool

Liverpool came from behind to draw 2-2 with Man City at Anfield today.

In a scoreless first half, Liverpool lost Daniel Agger and Ryan Babel through injuries.

The game came to life on 50mins when Martin Skrtel converted a Steven Gerrard free kick to give Liverpool the lead against a defensive City side.

Mark Hughes expensively built team then went on the attack and equalised when Adebayor was left unmarked by that man Skrtel and he headed the equaliser on 69mins.

City then went ahead through Steven Ireland, although he looked offside to me and most of the Anfield crowd.

However, Liverpool bounced back straight away when a deflected Ngog shot flashed across the box and Yossi Benayoun stabbed home the equaliser.

Liverpool spent the rest of the game in attack and Lucas had a great chance to win it in stoppage time , but he headed badly wide when unmarked.

So we are now a massive 13 points behind leaders Chelsea and seventh in the table.

I finally concede that the League is beyond us now, lets just try to win as many games as we can and see where it leaves us.

Why didn’t Rafa bring on Aquilani, the team was crying out for a player of his ability

What was that pest Steven Ireland on about saying “we were robbed”, you got off lightly son.

I see that Thierry Henry was loudly booed when he came on as a sub for Barcelona against Athletic Bilboa tonight.

I wonder why Thiery, I wonder why.
