After a slow start at our temporary home we\u00a0have\u00a0slipped nicely through the\u00a0gears, our away form has been superb,\u00a0four wins in five, and our Champions League form has been exceptional, to have already qualified for the knock out stages with\u00a0two games\u00a0left is fantastic. We were very much third favourites and the term ‘group of death’ was banded about in the press.<\/p>\n
Harry Kane, he is our talisman.<\/p>\n
After his customary goalless August he still has 13 in 12 games this season, though he doesn’t seem to be exceptional at anything he’s very good at almost all disciplines of forward play.<\/p>\n
He is strong and turns centre halves with ease, he can be a touch greedy and attempt shoots from anywhere, but he’s frankly entitled to I’d say.<\/p>\n
Just edging the victory over Liverpool I would say defeating back to back European Champions Real Madrid. Pochettino\u00a0identified a weakness with Madrid’s high press and we got into the space behind them and hit them on the counter attack.<\/p>\n
Its refreshing to see a manager who has a plan and drills into his players what he wants from them.<\/p>\n
The goalless draw at home to Swansea, credit to them, they came to defend as a team and did the job manfully with no individual errors, but we lacked the craft to prize them open and after bringing\u00a0Llorente off the bench we\u00a0failed to utilise his\u00a0height and threat in the box.<\/p>\n
I don’t expect so, we had the best pair of centre halves in the PL last season yet still added Davinson Sanchez from Ajax, this has worked\u00a0seamlessly and he has integrated well.<\/p>\n
We signed Aurier for \u00a324m from PSG but his presence seems to have pushed Trippier on to the next level on a consistent basis.<\/p>\n
We have\u00a0Dembele, Wanyama and Lamela\u00a0returning from injuries\u00a0to bolster the midfield. Harry Winks is a great prospect too, a tidy ball player, nothing flashy, but he always wants the ball, whatever the situation even under pressure, Pochettino would sooner see a youngster blossom that spend the ludicrously inflated prices that would be needed to bring in a new face. The Ross Barkley link will re-appear if the new Everton boss doesn’t want him.<\/p>\n
To stay in the title race and Champions League for as long as possible. I fear we will eventually be beaten by teams with significantly better resources, but we do have great team spirit and a manager who the players believe in. Personally I’d be happy\u00a0to win the FA Cup even if it meant dropping out of the top four, but I’m old school and would rather see a pot in the trophy cabinet than a balance sheet swollen by CL qualification.<\/p>\n
I would sell Sissoko, I’d actually give him away and I’d drive him wherever he needed to go, but Pochettino\u00a0sees something in him. There will be speculation about Rose but we don’t need to sell and I don’t expect to, at least\u00a0until the summer!<\/p>\n
As for targets, I would like to see another attacking midfielder to put pressure on Eriksen and Alli but I would resist buying a player\u00a0just to strengthen the bench\/squad, you should always look to improve the first team.<\/p>\n
