Like every year there was the end of season awards which took place. There were quite a few awards which were handed out which included-<\/p>\n
* Young Player of the Season<\/strong><\/p>\n * Supporters Club of the Season<\/strong><\/p>\n * Staff Recognition Award<\/strong><\/p>\n * First Team Players\u2019 Player of the Season<\/strong><\/p>\n * Academy Players\u2019 Player of the Season<\/strong><\/p>\n * Ladies Players\u2019 Player of the Season<\/strong><\/p>\n * Bill Shankly Community Award<\/strong><\/p>\n * Outstanding Team Achievement Award<\/strong><\/p>\n * Special Recognition Award<\/strong><\/p>\n * Goal of the Season<\/strong><\/p>\n * Lifetime Achievement Award<\/strong><\/p>\n * Player of the Season<\/strong><\/p>\n Not wasting any time let’s find out who won what, starting off with the Young Player of the Year. This award was given to Trent Alexander Arnold who fully deserved a fine breakthrough season for a teenager from West Derby.<\/p>\n Moving on was the Player\u2019s Player of the Season and there wasn\u2019t a doubt in this one as Liverpool\u2019s big summer signing ran away with it.<\/p>\n As the evening went on some others to have been handed out.<\/p>\n The Supporters Club of the Season award, presented by Gini Wijnaldum and sponsored by Liverpool Gin, went to the Cyprus Supporters Club.<\/p>\n And Staff Recognition Award, presented by James Milner, went to the Disability support team.<\/p>\n Next up was The Academy Player of The Year the three contestants for this award were Ben Woodburn, Rhian Brewster and Harry Wilson, in the end, it did go to Number 58 Ben Woodburn who earlier on in the did become Liverpool’s youngest ever goal scorer.<\/p>\n Other notable awards The Ladies Players\u2019 Player of the Season award, sponsored by Avon, goes to Sophie Ingle.<\/p>\n And the Bill Shankly Community Award, sponsored by The Richmond Hatton Garden, goes to Jeremy Barnes, All Saints school headteacher.<\/p>\n There were several photos clicked which were followed by a montage of one of the Liverpool greats Ronnie Moran who served the club for nearly half a century.<\/p>\n Steven Gerrard was then called to give a token of appreciation to Liverpool\u2019s European Cup winning side of 1977 honoured with the Outstanding Team Achievement Award \u2013 40 years on from their historic victory over Borussia Monchengladbach in Rome.<\/p>\n Then came the Special Recognition Award which was given to Lucas Leiva for 10 great years at the club making him the longest serving Liverpool player in the first team squad.<\/p>\n Moving on swiftly onto something interesting which was the Goal Of The Season there wasn\u2019t a doubt in this one really it was the Emre Can overhead kick against Watford which stole the show!<\/p>\n The Liverpool Lifetime Achievement Award went to a true Kop great Roger Hunt.<\/p>\n And Finally it was time for the Player of the Season, it came down to just four names- Lallana, Coutinho, Firmino and Sadio Mane. As the anchor called Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp to give away the award, no one knew how deserved the award more as all had had great seasons.
