Liverpool fans will definitely be pleased to see Lovren lining up with Joel Matip at the heart of defence on Saturday. Having lost two of the three Premier League games in which the Croatian defender missed, Jurgen Klopp will be glad to have Lovren back in action as Liverpool looks to finally get back to winning ways to keep their top four dreams alive.<\/p>\n<h3>Former Liverpool striker suffers injury scare<\/h3>\n<p>Former Liverpool striker, Fernando Torres appeared to be seriously hurt after getting knocked unconscious following an aerial clash with Deportivo&#8217;s Alex Bergantinos during Atletico Madrid 1-1 draw with Deportivo La Coruna in La Liga on Thursday. Team-mates Gabi and Sime Vrsaljko were first to respond as they reach inside Torres\u2019 mouth to grab and stop the striker from swallowing his tongue. Serious concerns were shown on the faces of the players of both sides while the medics were aiding the striker.<\/p>\n<p>Torres was sent to the hospital right after and has since recovered consciousness. The striker was able to tweet: \u201cMany thanks to all concerned for me and for your messages of encouragement. It was just a scare. I hope to return very soon!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But after undergoing cranial and cervical CT scans, Torres was given the all-clear but told to observe protocol by spending the night in the hospital. The injury was not as serious as it first thought when Atletico Madrid initial tweeted that Torres suffered a &#8216;traumatic brain injury&#8217;.<\/p>\n<h3>Liverpool in touch with Santos for 17-year-old Brazilian striker<\/h3>\n<p>Sources from Brazil reported that the Reds are currently in talks to sign 17-year-old Brazilian Striker, Rodrygo who was tipped for a bright future. Amidst Liverpool interest, Santos will reportedly try to offer Rodrygo his first professional contract in hopes to convince him to stay. The Sao Paulo-based club is well known for nurturing world-class talents such as Neymar.
