These articles in this section are updated after each season. The current information is up to date as of the end of the 2023/2024 season.

Premier League / First Division Record

Only Man Utd with 20 titles have won more leagues than the 19 First Division and Premier League titles that belong to Liverpool.  On this page you can read about LFC’s performance in every year of the top flight, not just the years we won it.

Champions League / European Cup Record

Liverpool are, by far, the most successful English team in Europe having won the elite competition no less than six times to date.  On this page you can see how Liverpool have performed in all years that we have entered into the Champions League or before that the European Cup

UEFA Cup / Europa League Record

For much of Liverpool’s history we have not entered into the UEFA Cup / Europa League thanks to the fact that we qualified for the European Cup / Champions League more often than not.  The reds have entered the competition 14 times since 1972 and have won it three times, the last being in 2001 as part of a treble.

FA Cup Record

Despite not winning their first FA Cup until 1965 Liverpool have eight FA Cups to date, which is the joint-third most of any club.  Our FA Cup records page gives you details of how LFC have performed in each year of the FA Cup to date and all of the details on each Cup win.

EFL Cup Record

Liverpool are the record winners of the League Cup with ten wins despite only first winning the trophy in 1981.  The fact they won it four times in a row after that helps explain some of that record but it is a cup that LFC certainly have a love affair with having also won it plenty of times when we were not dominant.

Charity / Community Shield Record

Liverpool have played 24 Charity / Community Shield finals since 1964 and have won it 16 times (of which five of those were shared), which works out at 66.7% success rate.  That is quite good when you consider the trophy is fairly inconsequential.  Liverpool have played in it as league winners, cup winners and even when they have finished second and not won a domestic trophy.
