Liverpool are Favourites to Win a Treble Next Season

Arne Slot’s defending champions will be going into the 2025/26 Premier League season hoping to regain the title, whilst also looking to go further in the Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

With a superb summer transfer window where the Reds have brought in goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia, defenders Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth and Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen, attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz (who has also arrived from Leverkusen) and Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt; the squad is stacked full of talent.

With the rumours of Alexander Isak joining from Newcastle United, Slot’s squad looks set to challenge on all four fronts next year. So, here are how Liverpool are shaping up in each of the four competitions for next season:

Liverpool are the 7/4 favourites to win the 2025/26 Premier League

The defending champions are well-placed to retain the title next season. Of course, were Arne Slot’s side able to achieve that then it would be the 21st time Liverpool would win the league in England and would take them clear of bitter rivals Manchester United on the all-time list. Last season, the Reds cruised to the title leaving rivals Arsenal and Manchester City well behind. With the additions made to the squad already, it’s easy to see why Liverpool are the favourites to go back-to-back.

Liverpool are the 4/1 favourites to win the 2025/26 FA Cup

The Emirates FA Cup

With the strengthened squad ahead of the new campaign, Slot will be wanting to add a domestic cup or two to the trophy cabinet this season. That’s why Liverpool are favourites to win at Wembley in May. Last season’s FA Cup 4th round exit to Plymouth Argyle was disappointing, but the Reds played a second string that day and were having to deal with fixture congestion. Should the draws be kind, Liverpool could find themselves in the latter stages where their determination to lift the cup might lead to a stronger squad selected.

Liverpool are the 5/1 favourites to win the 2025/26 Carabao Cup

Carabao Cup

The first trophy up for grabs this season and, like the other two domestic competitions, Liverpool are favourites to lift the trophy. Slot’s side are also favourites to win this year’s Carabao Cup. Last season, they made it all the way to the final but a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United ended hopes of winning a record extending 11th title. Ironically, Alexander Isak scored that day but now he could be joining the Reds, perhaps he’ll be the man to fire Liverpool to the Carabao Cup this time.

Liverpool are the 6/1 second-favourites to win the 2025/26 Champions League

FOL Champions League

Liverpool’s love-affair with the UEFA Champions League means fans will be desperate to claim the trophy this season. Last season’s winners PSG were so impressive in winning the competition last year but it could have been so different. A penalty shoot-out defeat for Liverpool to the eventual winners in the first knockout round ended hopes of a 7th European title. Slot will be eager to win it this season and the strength of his squad shows Liverpool could go all the way to Budapest for this year’s final.

Liverpool FC regain their tactical identity with Arne Slot at the helm

Things feel a little different at Liverpool these days. Since Arne Slot arrived in June 2024, Liverpool’s intensity remains—but the plan is calmer and smarter, with 2025 additions Frimpong, Wirtz and Ekitike refining the press, spacing and final-third threat. His blueprint keeps that familiar fire and intensity but adds something calmer underneath. It’s not about […]

Are Liverpool Strengthening in the Wrong Area?

As a Liverpool fan, this summer is proving to be remarkably exciting. The Reds broke their own transfer record, and potentially the British transfer record if conditions are met, by signing Florian Wirtz a few weeks ago. That was then followed by the signing of Milos Kerkez and Wirtz’s former teammate, Jeremie Frimpong. In the […]
