Peter has his latest interview our regular Q&A guest and Liverpool fan Chris Hurst.
Hello again Chris , firstly what a crazy end to the game v Spurs …what was your take on the Liverpool performance & decisions made by the officials?
They were absolutely terrible Peter. Never have I seen such inept officials, it was absolutely shocking! They got so many decisions so wrong which in the end has cost us 2 massive points and also highlighted for me the need for var to be introduced sooner rather than later because they completely lost control of the game.
What did you make of the team performance?
Even though it was a draw I thought the Liverpool performance was excellent, couldn’t fault anyone, we started very well which I expected and tried to keep things tight in the middle which I thought we did well.
In the 2nd half we were a bit under the cosh but was that due to us sitting back or a change in tactics from Spurs?
A mixture of the 2 I’d say, we defended very well, and even there goals were not down to bad defending, there’s not much you could have done really if were being honest, the first was a worldy and the second was a silly challenge, people will say it wasn’t a pen but I’d have to disagree myself.
Which players would you say stood out for you for Liverpool in this game?
Karius was brilliant, his best game for LFC for me, was quick off his line and made some good saves, TAA was also excellent, some of his crosses where superb and I wish he’d show Robertson how to do it. Lovren for me was also great and my MOM (puts tin hat on)
What did you make of the team line up for this game?
Was surprised to see Milner start again for us to be honest but the rest of the team wasn’t really a shock.
Do you see many changes for the Southampton game ?
No way Milner starts 3 in a row haha myself I’d bring the Ox back in for him but that would be the only change for me there’s absolutely no need to make any other changes no doubt I’ll be wrong An Lovren and TAA are bombed as-well haha.
What is your score prediction and why v Saints please?
Think we will blitz them , it’s a cliche but every game has to be treated like a final, after not bringing anyone in to replace Phil, top 4 is essential and I think Klopp will make certain his team know it. 4-0 I’m goin for, see if I can get 2 in row after calling 2-2 last game.
