Huddersfield Review and Spurs Preview by @DanVanderkamp

The Kop Table Interview

Peter gets the views of Dan on all things LFC ….

Firstly Dan, can you give us your thoughts on the victory at Huddersfield on Tuesday evening ?

Very good result. Most passes in English league history tells you how dominant we were. I was delighted as initially, I was apprehensive about the midfield with Milner and Henderson in it as i assumed we would lack any creativity but I was wrong thank goodness!

There was many good performances but who got your mom in that game?

Emre Can was exceptional, as was Henderson and if pressed to choose i’d go with Emre as his bullet opened up the game and set us up for victory.

What are your thoughts on Liverpool allowing Coutinho and Sturridge Wto leave without bringing in any replacements ?

I’ve defended the owners a lot as i do respect them as businessmen. They are an astute crowd and delivered with VVD, Salah and Mané etc so I’m not going to go off on them and pretend they don’t spend any money because at the end of the day we have made huge progress over the past three years and ultimately they are responsible for bringing Jürgen Klopp in. But this was the time they needed to shut up and put up as we have taken one step forward with signing Van Dijk, one back selling Coutinho and another step back not replacing him. It’s a huge risk not signing any midfield players as our squad looks paper thin at times and an injury to any of our front three would be devastating.

Is Jurgen Klopp right to go and trust the current squad for the rest of the season?

Who am I to argue with the big man? ( Laughs )…. Seriously though, he said we tried to get Keita early, there was talk we were speaking to representatives of Antoine Greizmann and we wanted Leon Goretzka… so does that sound like a manager who is happy with what he has? I trust him though and if he felt we couldn’t get better than what we have then I’d have to say he’s right to trust them!

Do you think there will be many changes for the Spurs game?

Van Dijk will be back in, and I’d be inclined to replace Matip instead of Lovren. Dejan was pretty solid against Huddersfield and Matip was nothing short of atrocious. I’d maybe change Milner for Ox just that we need his work rate and pace against a solid Spurs back line and midfield.

What is your score prediction and reasons why please?

We are at home, and i do think they will score.. so I’m gonna go with a 2-1 nail-biter win!

Big thanks to Dan for the Q&A on FOL
