What was your thoughts on the performance against West Ham Paul?
As our manager said it was a joy to watch and he was spot on. It’s great to see how we can control games now and we are shutting teams out. There was times in the game when West Ham had the momentum and had a go. That just shows you have to work very hard to get something out of us. The performance was excellent
Was you surprised to see Joel Matip reinstated to the back 4 on Saturday?
The only reason i thought he was playing was because Lovren either got injured or was unwell. So yes it was a surprised to see him in the 11. But give him his due he played well. Lovren was excellent against Porto so I expect him to come back in against Newcastle
A lot of players played very well but who was the standout player in this fixture for you?
Tough one. Am going to go with Andy Robertson. He was outstanding again the lad just doesn’t give in. I seen a few say he was the fault for Antonio’s goal but you can see Klopp wants him to get forward quickly but it was Can’s fault for over playing in the middle. He couldn’t get back. Just love how energetic he is. Close 2nd was Milner again his experience showed and his mentality is still 100% he covers every blade of grass.
What are your thoughts on Firmino`s no look finishes ?
I love it Peter!! Love how confident he is. His enthusiasm he just loves playing in that red shirt. It’s cocky and no red fan would change him. Top player
Would you give James Milner a new contract when this one is up?
100% everytime he’s called upon he gives you his all. The man is a true professional and just loves the game. You don’t let that go easily so get his name on another dotted line.
Can you see Klopp making many changes for the Newcastle game?
No I think that will happen against Porto in midweek. The momentum for us is to keep winning the next 10 days is massive for the club to get into the last 8 of the CL going into the United game. Only injuries I’d say would make him make lots so I don`t see it myself.
What is your score prediction v Newcastle and why please ?
Take Newcastle and Rafa with a pinch of salt. Our last few meetings with him have been draws. He will have a plan but so will Klopp. These encounters always produce goals. It will be a good game i think but home advantage will see us over the line and 3 more points so going with 3-1.
