Firmino Awarded Accolade, Salah Hungry For Titles, Gerrard Adjusting To Academy

Roberto Firmino has been named Liverpool’s Player of the Month after his stellar performances. Firmino edged Salah to win the first accolade of 2018 after he scored three goals in six appearances.

When being presented with the award, here is what the Brazilian had to say.

“I am very happy to receive this prize for being the Player of the Month and I hope to win more awards during this season. I am very happy for the fans voting for me.”

The Brazilian named the delightful chip against Manchester City as his favourite goal out of the three.

Jurgen Klopp has provided an update on the future of Sadio Mane as they are preparing to offer the Senegalese a new contract.

“That we want to keep the players together is not a secret. We want to keep Sadio here, keep this team and strengthen it.”

Salah’s Desire For Glory:

Mohamed Salah has outlined his desires to win the Premier League with Liverpool. The Egyptian has stated that he wants to win titles with the reds and hopes to fulfil his dream of winning the Premier League with Liverpool.

Salah has been in fine form for Liverpool this season having already surpassed the 30 goal mark for the entire season. He has been instrumental for the reds in fighting for top four as well as their Champions League campaign.

Youth News:

After their stunning victory against Manchester United on Wednesday in the UEFA Youth Cup, Steven Gerrard has admitted he is still adjusting to life at Liverpool academy.

“In terms of the (under) 18s and 23s it has been a tough few weeks in terms of results, they haven’t gone our way. The lads have had a tough month and so have the staff.”

The victory against rivals Manchester United ended a run of four consecutive defeats for the U18s. Gerrard’s reds will now face Manchester City in the Last 16 on the 14th March.
