Inter Make Sturridge Offer, Van Dijk at Fault? U18’s Bow out of FA Youth Cup

Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge could be leaving this transfer window after Inter Milan put in an official loan bid for the striker. The offer is under serious consideration from the reds.

Emre Can’s future at Liverpool is yet to be resolved despite the German being named captain in the 1-0 away defeat at Swansea. Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta has admitted that the path to sign Emre Can may not be straightforward as they hoped.

Egyptian FA President Hany Abo Rida claims Real Madrid will make an offer for Mohamed Salah in the summer window. The Spanish giants have been linked with Salah in order to boost their current squad. However, Liverpool will not entertain any offers for the Egyptian.

Marko Grujic starred in Cardiff’s 0-0 draw against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday. The Serbian played 78 minutes in his debut before being substituted.

Steven Gerrard’s U18’s crashed out of the FA Youth Cup after losing 3-2 to Arsenal at extra time. The Reds were winning 2-1 with five minutes to go before Arsenal grabbed a late equaliser.

Following the defeat, the U18’s played RB Leipzig in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Tuesday with assistant Tom Culshaw taking charge. The reds won 2-1 thanks to goals from Glen McAuley and Leighton Clarkson.

The U23’s beat Charlton Athletic 4-1 on Sunday to boost their chances of reaching knockout stages of the Premier League Cup.
