FA Cup Derby Preview with @_Chris_Hurst_

The Kop Table Interview

Peter talks all things FA Cup Derby with Reds Fan Chris Hurst

Hello Chris firstly …what was your thoughts on the performance in the game against Burnley?

Erm…different, determined, not the best, hard fought, not the most entertaining but strangely it was very satisfying, at the end anyway.

When Burnley equalised did you believe we could go and get the 3 points?

I’d be lying if I said yes, thought it was gonna be like all the other games we’ve had this season, dominated but come away having dropped points but I’m glad we got the win, about time too against teams who try bore the life out of games, and are happy with a draw.

How do you think we will line up against Everton on Friday?

Obviously having rested Firmino he has to start for me, and depending what’s going on with Phil, will he still be “injured” hopefully Salah is back too and we get at these from the off which is what was missing in the league game, it was far to negative. Chamberlain is another must for me.

What are your thoughts on Phillipe Coutinho possibly departing the club in January?

If he goes he goes, I won’t lose sleep over it, he’s brilliant there’s no denying that and he will be missed but I think, unlike when Suarez left, the squad is in a much better position to cope without him should he leave, obviously we would all love him to stay but I think by the end of the month he will be a Barca player and good luck to him.

Who would you replace him with if he does leave this month?

Try get Naby in early although I think that’s a big ask, people talk about Lemar, possibly Mahrez, but just for the sheer cheek of it id go for Sanchez me £40m plus £1 as an opening bid haha.

Do you expect Klopp to be going all on for the FA cup seeing as though we have a good chance of getting some silverware in this season?

He’s got to mate, just over 2 years into the job, this team is very much his now so for me he has to start delivering, not saying he hasnt done well so far because he has, but we don’t exist to finish 4th, so he has to treat it with massive respect in my opinion and do all he can to win some silverware this year, we as fans would love a trip down to Wembley an return with the FA Cup wouldn’t we.

What is your socre prediction and why please Chris?

Couldn’t have been more wrong with prediction on this fixture the other week (4-1) but I also didn’t expect Coutinho an Firmino not to start, Friday might see Coutinho and Salah still missing so this time out I’m gonna say 2-0, another close game, but hopefully we will manage more than 3 shots on target this time.
