Mohamed Salah to undergo medical on Tuesday after Roma accepted £39m bid

According to reports in Eygpt, Mohamed Salah will undergo a medical with Liverpool on Tuesday after a £39 million transfer fee was agreed with Roma.

On Saturday, KingFut claimed that Jurgen Klopp’s side had launched a new €45m (£39.4m) bid for the 25-year-old after accepting that the Serie A club would not lower their valuation. It is also claimed that the offer has been accepted by Roma following negotiations with the midfielder’s agent, Ramy Abbas, in London. The Egypt international will be scheduled to arrive at Liverpool on June 20th for his medical.

Liverpool have been in talks with Roma since the start of June after their initial £28m offer was rejected. Roma were adamant that the midfielder would not be allowed to leave for a cut-price fee despite the need to sell a key player in order to meet Financial Fair Play rules.

Liverpool are now on the verge of setting a new club record transfer as Salah’s £39M transfer will overtake the £35m spent on Andy Carroll in January 2011.

Salah will arrive at Liverpool after an impressive season for Roma in which he scored 15 goals and registered 11 assists in 31 league appearances.

Frustration for Marko Grujic in Serbia’s European U21 opener

Liverpool’s Marko Grujic endured a frustrating opening to the European U21 Championships in Poland as Serbia suffered a 2-0 defeat to Portugal.

Starting in central midfield, Grujic collected a booking in the fifth minute as he lunged at Goncalo Guedes as he cut in from the right side. The resultant free-kick almost brought the opening goal as Ruben Neves struck a volley against the post.

The Reds midfielder probably had the two best chances to score on Saturday. Grujic missed Serbia’s best chance of the night when he somehow misdirected his header wide of the post just six yards out from Andrija Zivkovic’s perfect cross. His substitution with 20 minutes remaining on the clock summed up the frustrating night for Grujic.

Serbia will now be up against it to qualify for the knock-out stages with Spain also in their group while they will return to action against Macedonia on Tuesday.

Bournemouth make £6m offer for Ryan Kent

Bournemouth have reportedly launched a £6m move for Liverpool youngster Ryan Kent. The 20-year-old attacker came through the youth system at Liverpool, but he has only featured in one first-team appearance for the Reds, in the FA Cup against Exeter City in January 2016.

The winger was on loan at Barnsley last season scoring three times and providing one assist in 43 Championship appearances. The report claims that Eddie Howe’s side have offered £6m as the Cherries look to hold off interest from Middlesbrough.

It is also understood that Liverpool will ask for a buy-back clause to be inserted into any deal.
