Liverpool planning for like without Coutinho, Woodburn to get Wales call-up and Grujic on his way?

Liverpool reportedly looking for Philippe Coutinho replacement

Marseille midfielder, Maxime Lopez who was named UNFP Player of the Month for December has revealed a recent conversation with Liverpool representatives.

The 19-year-old told l’Equipe, as translated by Squawka, “They [Liverpool] said to me, ‘in five years you get Coutinho’s place’. They approached me in a good way. I even met Steven Gerrard at the stadium after a game,”

“I wanted to go there, but also to stay at Marseille. To go like that, at this age and even with your family, is very hard. I had noticed that they had thirty young professional players, not to mention the incumbents. You really have to be mentally prepared.”

Ben Woodburn in line for senior Wales call-up

Liverpool youngest ever goal scorer, Ben Woodburn who is in the middle of a tug of war between Wales and England might be in line for a senior call-up for Wales as Wales boss Chris Coleman prepares to name his squad for the next international game on March 24.

Having captained Wales at under-17 level and played in the under-19, Woodburn still qualifies for England as the youngster has yet to feature in senior level for Wales.

Marko Grujic targeted by Dinamo Zagreb

Having joined the Reds in a £5.1m deal, the Serbian has been struggling with injury this season which restricted him to just five appearances. The 2o-year-old has recently returned from a hamstring injury and is currently playing for the Liverpool U23s as he edged closer to the first team.

It is reported that Dinamo Zagreb is interested in bringing Grujic to the club on a temporary basis.

“I wanted to bring Andrija Zivkovic in from Benfica for £4.5m, but I failed. Now I want to get Marko Grujic from Liverpool on loan.” club advisor Zdravko Mamic revealed earlier this week.

Liverpool Might Play Bayern in Preseason Tour

The organisers of the Audi Cup are apparently interested in bringing Jürgen Klopp (and presumably Liverpool) back to Germany. The Audi Cup is a 4-team and 2-day tournament is held at the Allianz Arena every season. The Cup is currently being scheduled for August 1-2, though subjecting to change depending on the availability of teams.

If Liverpool choose to participate in the Audi Cup, it will be after their scheduled trips to Shanghai and Hong Kong in July.

What Liverpool Need to Happen to Play in the Champions League Next Season

It has been a dog of a campaign. Whether you think Arne Slot is the worst manager ever to sit in the Anfield dugout or you’re someone who believes that he’s been extremely unfortunate in numerous different ways, there is no escaping the fact that the sooner this season is over, the better. The good […]

Liverpool FC Potential January 2026 Transfers

Liverpool have endured a tough time of it in the Premier League and Champions League so far this season, also crashing out of the League Cup. It is, in my opinion, entirely understandable why that might be the case, given the fact that this is a club that has been grieving the loss of a […]
