Liverpool land in Tenerife as Klopp weighs up move for new left back

Liverpool Land in Tenerife

Liverpool have landed in Tenerife with their squad limited by the absence of many of its international stars as well as some facing further injury issues.

Striker Daniel Sturridge remains sidelined with a hip problem while captain Jordan Henderson joined the travelling squad as a late addition despite his foot injury, but he remains highly unlikely to take part full in training this week. However, it is hopeful that he will be fit to face Everton in two weeks.

More positive news for Klopp is that Dejan Lovren will be taking part fully in the camp and should be ready to face Everton.

Liverpool offers for free agent

Schalke versatile left back, Sead Kolasinac is reportedly offered contracts by several clubs via his agents. Kolasinac current contract ends this summer and Liverpool are said to be one of the club interested in the free agent.

The 23-year-old is primarily a left back who can also play in central defence and on the left wing. Such versatility provides Klopp with quality backup options in several positions.

Liverpool Under-23s drawn against Norwich City Under-23s in the quarter-final draw of the Premier League Cup.

The Reds will host Norwich City between Friday, March 31 and Monday, April 3. The details of the match are not yet confirmed however the venue of the match looks unlikely to be Anfield, as the U23 play most of their games at Prenton Park, the home of Tranmere Rovers.
