MKHITARYAN SET TO JOIN LIVERPOOL IN £25 MILLION DEAL

Latest News: Liverpool set to sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Shakhtar Donetsk for £25 million.

After difficult and protracted discussions, Liverpool look set to capture one of their biggest signings of the Summer.

The Armenian midfielder has been pursued by Brendan Rodgers, Ian Ayre and the transfer team since the end of last Season .

Despite having to deal with complicated 3rd party ownership issues, competition from other clubs like Anzhi and Dortmund, the two clubs have finally reached a deal in principle for the talented attacking midfielder.

Mkhitaryan is set to fly into Liverpool from Armenia early next week to negotiate a contract, that should be fairly straight-forward as the player has made it clear that Anfield is his preferred destination.

Good news all round then as the club has already brought in Toure, Aspas, Alberto and Mignolet all before the Transfer Window officially opens on Monday.
