STEVIE G INJURY LATEST

Friends Of Liverpool

After Saturday’s deeply frustrating loss to West Brom at the Hawthorns, Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish was asked about the fitness of captain Steven Gerrard:
“Steven was training yesterday and innocuously tried to turn with the ball and felt a sharp pain. Same injury but not the same thing.
“We’ll get him assessed and by the end of the week we’ll know better about everybody.”
Who knows if Gerrard would have started in the first team if he had not picked up another knock in training.
The truth is his presence in midfield was sorely missed as Lucas and young Jay Spearing were overwhelmed by Roy Hodgson’s side, time after time.
We had a great chance to close the gap on Spurs, who only drew 0-0 with Wigan, but we blew it.
With further injuries during the game to defenders Glen Johnson (muscle) and Daniel Agger (knee), we are really up against it now to finish any higher up the table than our current position of 5th.
By the way Roy, how come you couldn’t get the best out of our team like you did with West Brom today?
