The game was heading for the a 0-0 draw until the Spaniard latched onto a loose ball in the box to rifle the ball into the corner of the net past Brad Friedal.
Liverpool have now won two games on the trot and are slowly regaining some of last season’s form.
We are gradually inching up the table, crucially, we are beginning to keep clean sheets.
It augers well for 2010, keep up the good work Rafa and the team.
