TORRES TAMES TIGERS IN 6-1 ROUT

Friends Of Liverpool

Fernando Torres scored a hat-trick as Liverpool gained revenge for last season’s 2-2 draw also at Anfield.

The Spaniard opened the scoring on 20mins with a bit of trickery before drilling home in the far corner.

Hull grabbed an instant equaliser when a poor headed clearance by Skrtel fell to Brazilian Geovanni whose low shot beat Reina.

Torres restored the lead again on 30mins beating two defenders in the box before tapping the ball into the net, cool as you like.

Torres got his hat-trick soon after the second-half got underway with another dribble in the box to make it 3-1.

Captain Steven Gerrard, who had been having a quiet game ’til then, scored from a fierce curling cross from the right and the Reds were enjoying their football and were controlling the game.

Torres went off with half an hour to go to rapterous applause from the Anfield faithful to be replaced by Ryan Babel.
Steven Gerrard also made way for Mascherano, obviously with an eye to Tuesday’s match in Florence.

Babel got a welcome goal for himself when he turned in a cross from Kuyt and a Reira shot came off Babel’s heel to make it 6-1 on the day.

All in all, a very good day for Rafa and the Reds who remain in 3rd place in the league behind Man Utd and Chelsea who lost today to Wigan.
Scroll down to my poll if you like, thanks.

The good […]

Liverpool FC Potential January 2026 Transfers

Liverpool have endured a tough time of it in the Premier League and Champions League so far this season, also crashing out of the League Cup. It is, in my opinion, entirely understandable why that might be the case, given the fact that this is a club that has been grieving the loss of a […]
