Huddersfield Review and Spurs Preview by @thesmigger

The Kop Table Interview

Peter talks to our regular contributor  Paul Smith ahead of the big game against Tottenham.

Can you give us your thoughts on the victory at Huddersfield on Tuesday evening ?

Didn’t know what to expect before the game started. Seen the line up and wasn’t actually buzzing. It’s was like a training game to us kept possession used the ball well scored a couple of good goals. You could see how Huddersfield tried to set up it was to frustrate us. Was a good performance after to terrible ones. Hopefully back to winning streak again.

There was many good performances but who got your MOM in that game?

James Milner for me. The man was everywhere. Composed, worked hard what more can you ask for from a player like that. Limited to game time but when called upon gives you 100% like that. Andrew Robertson was close again with Emre can playing well to but Milner just pipped it for me.

What are your thoughts on Liverpool allowing Coutinho and Sturridge to leave without bringing in any replacements ?

Hard to take! Exspecially now with it being the end of the window. With Phil going early I like every other reds fan thought we can’t let him go without having someone coming in. We can’t be that stubborn beut we’re. Sturridge needs games and he’s fell down the pecking order that far it was his only option. He’s our best finisher and still could be used. Not totally shocked he’s gone out though.

Is Jurgen Klopp right to go and trust the current squad for the rest of the season?

It looks like he’s option now. In my opion he’s silly to losing Phil sending out sturridge even grujic you just had to look at our bench against West Brom to see how weak it is. Klopp is cutting his nose off to spite his face on this because you looked at that bench and thought who can change the game if we’re behind or at a stalemate. We’re a couple of injuries away from being in big trouble. Fingers crossed it won’t come to that

Do you think there will be many changes to the lineup for the Spurs game?

It will be a first if he doesn’t we’ve changed more or less every game? I expect us to be close to the side that played against city. Full of energy to have a right go at spurs. Lovern played well against Huddersfield I’d expect him to stay in and VVD to partner him. Hendo I think will keep his place ox for Milner the only other.

What is your score prediction and reasons why?

This will be! Which Liverpool will turn up If it’s the same one that played city then 3-1. And I expect it to be that will spurs park a bus NO! They will come and have a go another entertaining game which hopefully our fans will show up and get us over the line

Big thanks to Paul for the Q&A on FOL.
