1. How would you sum up Liverpool`s season so far?
I’d sum up the season so far as a frustrating, but there’s been signs of getting results done. I’d say we’ve been extremely unlucky with injuries this season with Lallana not having played one minute of premier league football yet, Mané had also had a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
2. Who has been the best performer for Liverpool in your opinion?
They’re two candidates for me for Liverpool’s best performers so far this season, Alberto Moreno and Mo Salah. Both have been given a lot of criticism over the last 6 months with Moreno looking like a lost cause at Liverpool football club. Mo Salah also has been criticised at the start of the season for missing his chances, but 12 goals so far and it’s not even Christmas is a very impressive stat. Given that Mané only got 13 goals last season and he had a phenomenal season, Salah is on course to have one season to remember.
3. Which has been the best LFC performance this season?
Best performance for me is Arsenal at home, we teared them apart. We had fluidity going forward and we were solid at the back. Everything was spot on that day and Arsenal took a beating because of it. Just shows the damage we can do.
4. Which has been Liverpool`s worst performance this season?
Our worst Performance of the season is possibly at Wembley against Tottenham. We got overrun everywhere and costly mistakes costed us dearly. Without the individual mistakes we would’ve given them a game, it was too easy for them.
5. Do you think Klopp will address the defensive problems by making signings in January?
I hope Klopp reacts quick and signs a central defender. I hope he shows that it was a costly error for him not to get a proven and worthy Central defender that we needed dearly.
6. What are your hopes and expectations for the rest of the season?
I expect us to first of all qualify for the CL group which looks very likely. I think solidifying a top 4 spot in two seasons shows progress so I would hope for progression to be shown. A bit of silverware would be lovely as well as we haven’t seen it in a while, I certainly think it’s coming though.
7. Who would you sell/buy in January to strengthen the squad?
Roma’s left back Emerson looks like a player Klopp has laid his eyes on for a while now, could see Klopp going to get him in the window even with Moreno’s impressive form. Could also see a cheeky bid for Van Dijk?
