Daniel Sturridge rejects China move

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has rejected an offer to join Chinese Super League side Beijing Guoan, according to reports.

Emre Can to pen new deal this month

German midfielder Emre Can finally bring his contract saga to an end this month and pen a new five-year extension with Liverpool. The German international has verbally agreeing to pen a new deal upon his return to pre-season later this month.

Can has entered into the final twelve months of his contract and there were fears from fans that the club would either entertain offers to sell this summer or allow the player to leave on a free next summer after linking with Naby Keïta.

Reports claimed that Can met with Klopp at the end of last season before jetting off on international duty and verbally agreeing to extend his current deal with the Reds and the club expect him to make it official by putting pen to paper when he returns from his holiday.

“Liverpool has helped me a lot. I’ve learned a lot in my three years there. I’m a lot tougher in the tackle now. I’ve also developed as a person whilst in England,” Can said while on international duty last month.

Liverpool interested in Aston Villa’s Jordan Amavi

Liverpool have been linked with Aston Villa defender Jordan Amavi in the summer transfer window. According to the report, the Premier League club are only willing to sign the left-back on a loan deal due to concerns over a previous knee problem.

It has been reported that Spanish club Sevilla recently pulled out of a deal for the 23-year-old old after medics raised concern over the anterior cruciate ligament injury he suffered back in 2015.

Jurgen Klopp needs to sign an established left-back in the summer transfer window after using James Milner out of position last season.
