WAS RODGERS RIGHT TO CRITICISE HIS TEAM IN PUBLIC?

Rodgers left fuming
Brendan Rodgers lashed out at the poor performances put in by many of the younger players in the abject defeat to Oldham Athletic in the FA Cup defeat on Sunday.

"We are under no illusions because the Oldham game made it clear in terms of the depth of the squad the problems we have when we have to change the team around.
"Oldham was a rude awakening, but we knew the situation with the squad."

‘If they are bright, they will learn,’ he said. ‘If they don’t, they will find themselves playing in League One regretting the opportunity they have missed.’

Harsh words or fair, was the Manager right to openly criticise his team in public or should he have kept his comments within the changing room?

  1. I fully agree with Brendan.  Before it was a honour to play for LFC now they are all young kids which earn big money and no loyality to the club anymore.
