Starting with Coates, who had only played twice all season and Skrtel who is a competent if a little limited defender then playing rookies at full-back in Robinson and Wisdom, who is a centre-back, was a tactical error.
Don't get me wrong, all four defenders are good players but playing them all together was a mistake in an FA Cup tie.
Playing Joe Allen and Jordan Henderson as a midfield two was a strange one as well, surely Lucas Leiva should have been started to bolster up the midfield.
However, that game has finally put to bed with a good performance at the Emirates.
We were solid, strong, resilient and very unlucky not to win against Arsenal.
When Henderson scored to make it 2-0, I was praying for the final whistle, alas Arsenal thundered back to draw 2-2.
Still, a point at Arsenal is always a good result, so I will take it.

While you being honest time to face up to reality.You dnt have the squad to play tikka takka.arsenal played us off the park with passing and possession football.Lack of pace in the squad causes the backline to lie deep exposing the soft and slow midfield.A Liverpool midfield once boasting Alonso/Masch and Gerard is now our soft under belly.Suares out wide wasted - nullifies his threat.The system you play is reliant on pacy wingers / wingbacks to make it work - you dnt have the personnel.Downing ineffective and no impact.Good thing about your squad last night was that it did not contain Sterling whose been poor for a long time - loses the ball barely goes past players and doesn't create or score enough to justify 1st 11. In short you lack pace,quality an enforcer ,2 skilful wingers a CB and more importantly a goalkeeper - Reina has clearly left for Barca already because he missed a good game last nite as he never pitched up.Stop talking about top 4 - play the same 11 for the nxt 5 games for consistency sake and settle on your strongest 11

If a supporter can see that the only way to beat arsenal is to attack attack attack! we go 2 up and then lay back and invite a real good attacking side to attack us, they are to good attacking to let them in, we must turn back to the liverpool way, keep on attacking even if your infront and not be pleased with a draw, when it was 2 2, we where actualy happy just to take a draw!!! wtf? waisting time for a draw in a game we where 2 0 up, that is not lfc, thats my highschool team. I hope brenden except that he was wrong in this game and better it in the next
