JOHN W HENRY: WE HAVE ONLY ONE FORWARD LEFT!

Borini fractures footWith the shock news of Liverpool's Fabio Borini breaking a bone in his foot while away with Italy's U-21,s.
It leaves Brendan Rodgers and Liverpool FC with only one recognised striker in Luis Suarez for six to eight weeks.

It further underlines FSG's flawed Summer tranfer dealings or the lack thereof. We all know how Andy Carroll was allowed join West Ham on loan without the signing of a replacement.

It was football suicide on the part of the owners.
We already have seen this Season how the lack of a quality striker has cost us points, like it did under Kenny Dalglish last year as well.

Now Brendan Rodgers has no choice but to throw in younster Adam Morgan, which is no bad thing as he is a natural goal-scorer.
But it should never have come to this.

What if Luis Suarez gets injured or suspended?

Its bordering on a crisis for Liverpool FC and John W. Henry with Tom Werner have only themselves to blame.

  1. Only choice but to throw Morgan in?
What about Suarez up top with Sterling and Suso behind and Stevie, Allan and Sahin in the middle!

  2. Yes Anon, that will be the formation, but the fact remains that FSG have left us short of attacting options.

  3. For sure but look at the options they have given us!
A - saved us from administration
B - restored some structure back to the club and got the fans back on side for a while
C - had the courage to bring in a young forward thing manager with great footballing ideas and with a view to the future and long term
D - Cleared out a lot of very average players mostly older and reduced the wage bill massively to hopefully free up funds for future signings of younger and more hungry players.

Would you prefer to suffer on for years as we were going as an average team or take big and bold steps which obviously weeken us short term but allow Liverpool to change, plan for the future and become a force again.
We are not City or those other dirty blues WE ARE LIVERPOOL

  4. Can't argue with you on those points Anon, but we need a proven striker, its obvious to everyone.

  5. Of course we do but its not as easy as it seems! Should we rush out and over spend again like we did with Carroll. You also have to take into consideration the fact that the really top strikers will not want to come to us at the moment, we need to be very clever with our moves to get us back up to where we need to be before we can consider even bidding for the world class players.

Rodgers was only in the job a few weeks before the season started, he ps a clever man who knows what he wants!

  9. I have been a supporter for 30 years. But lets face it guys, it will take years to regroup and build the team again around BR's philosophy. I think we are on the right track and I see progress. I have no ambitions for Liverpool this season other than a mid table finish. Like it or not, football like any other modern game is business and it should be done in a managed manner. Usually short term sacrifices have to be made for the long term good. YNWA.

  11. Adam Morgan and Samed Yesil are class young strikers, throw them in and watch them flourish.

  12. hey bro..did u read before u wrote..?we re talking about a striker here n u re talking out off point??

  13. I might be talking out of place here, and maybe he's not ready yet, but playing Ngoo would give Liverpool a different threat up front, and a needed player in the box. He's a good finisher aswell!

  14. Let's not forget Pacheco who has very much impressed me so far and deserves his chance! He's the same age as Borini, and in my opinion, as a CF, would score more goals. Add Suso, Morgan, Sterling, Assaidi and others, (Atlthough not all CF's) and I don't think we're as hard up as we seem. YNWA

  15. From what I've seen of Borini, I'd say we've been playing with only one striker all season. Borini is years from being a decent striker.
