Alex Ferguson has voiced his opinion again of the Suarez-Evra incident and he believes it contributed to Kenny Dalglish's sacking at Liverpool. If that were true then Suarez would have been sold and King Kenny would still be in a job, Ferguson!
Dalglish was dismissed at the end of the season after a dismal Premier League campaign which ended with Liverpool in eighth spot.
Suárez was found by the Football Association to have racially abused the Manchester United defender Patrice Evra at Anfield last October.
A subsequent eight-match ban and £40,000 fine was followed by Liverpool players wearing T-shirts in support of their South American team-mate, with Dalglish opting to keep the argument rumbling on rather than apologising.
Suarez's failure to shake hands with Evra prior to the Premier League rematch at Old Trafford in February forced the Liverpool owner, John Henry, to intervene.
Ferguson, speaking on United's South African tour in Durban, feels the episode did not do much for Dalglish's standing among the Liverpool hierarchy.
"I wasn't surprised at Kenny leaving," said Ferguson.
"John Henry has obviously looked at that ,the Suárez incident, and felt it wasn't handled in the right way.
It certainly wasn't a nice thing to happen and it must have been part of it.
"Suárez has kept the matter rumbling on by saying in an interview in Uruguay that United exert too much power at the Football Association and it is that which led to him being found guilty.
Dalglish's replacement, Brendan Rodgers, has reacted by stating it is time to move on from the episode.
"It's not going to go away if Suárez keeps on making headlines out of it," said Ferguson.
Well Whiskey-Nose, it is none or your business so keep out of it.
I have gone out with three coloured girls in my time so I am certainly not racist, but I do believe a grave injustice was done to Luis Suarez based on the heresay of one Patrice Evra of Man Utd.
Suarez is a racist bastard and needs crucifies
ReplyDeleteHe is a fuck ugly rat and he is just a complete cunt for what he did to evra and for what he did in the world cup. Bellend.
Deleteyou f**ker...shut you mouth and nose.
DeleteThat is really not necessary you idiot
DeleteI bet both you wankers thought you'd win the league hey lol. YNWA 5times
ReplyDeleteI think what is patheric is Ferguson also re opening the issue. How dare he mention the owner by name he is not on that level. eat a d!ck fergie
ReplyDeleteI thought this article was great until I came down to the part where you said, and I quote, 'I have gone out with three coloured girls in my time so I am certainly not racist' end quote. Shiiiit! I didn't know that people were still referred to as 'coloured'. I remember telling a South African friend that it is unbelievable that in South Africa the word 'coloured' is an everyday word. I said to him that in England, if you said that to someone, you would get royally f$@&*%. For your information, referring to someone by the colour of there skin is not acceptable as you are judging a book by its cover. Even the terms black (Africans etc) and white (Europeans, etc) is not acceptable in my opinion. But it has been used over a long period of time because it is much easier to stereotype than to believe that a person can be a mother, father, son. daughter, lover, kind, bad, African, European, Tanzanian, British, various different personalities, etc. People are all these things and not just Black or white or god forbid coloured or brown or pink. While on the topic of 'coloured' I have found that in various emotional situations or extremes of temperature a person of African origin will stay whatever the tone of their skin is. On the other hand I have found that many western people, including me, depending on how they feel will change from pink, to red to purple to blue to white as a sheet all depending on the situation. So who is really 'coloured'? Referring to someone as coloured is not a good thing and having gone out with three women of African origin does not mean that you are not racist.
ReplyDeleteoh yeah and I believe we all agree that Fergie is a right twat!
ReplyDeletesuarez is not racist,he explained what was happening
ReplyDeleteWell for a start I dont believe Suarez is rascist and while it defies believe that he was convicted on the word of someone who admits they were involved in a running spat all game. But I think reopening it all again now isnt going to either help or achieve anything
ReplyDeleteI don't believe Suarez is racist either but I do believe he has acted in a way that has not helped himself... The world is from his culture and deemed not racist, however in this country we are PC bonkers so it is unacceptable. He was after all referring to him about his colour, slang word or not. The injustice is that there was no evidence apart from the word of one man, Evra, the man who wipes his own arse with the national shirt... What a stand up guy. If this incident had happened between two players from say, Wigan and Wolves. No one would be talking about it and the player would not be crucified every single game like Suarez is now. Rodgers is right, we need to move on.
ReplyDeletewhat Suarez said was right..he wasnt racist..Man U n Ferguson has the political power..Pity Suarez but we have to move on
ReplyDeleteCalm down, everybody; we all have to move on, even the Great Satan himself, though he still can't resist having another little pop at Kenny Dalglish. As far as Suárez and Evra are concerned, I've written enough about that here and on my own blog, so nothing more needs to be said here.
ReplyDeleteTo my anonymous friends: keep it clean; you can vent your spleen without being vindictive. To Dan, I can only say that I don't believe that John was being racist in any way, shape or form. I've also gone out with girls with a different skin-colour, nationality and/or religion to me. It makes no difference; it's a part of the world we live in. As far as Fergie is concerned, his outburst says more about him than it does about King Kenny. We ALL have to move on.
Well said Pat, commonsense from you, as usual, a rarity here!
