LIVERPOOL FACE A GOOD LEAGUE RUN IN, EVERY CHANCE OF FOURTH

Downing celebrates goal v Stoke
Looking at Liverpool's final ten League games of the 2011/12 season gives plenty of reason for optimism in the weeks ahead.

We play the likes of Wigan, West Brom and Fulham in the run in.

Of the top-six teams, we only have both Newcastle away and Chelsea at home to face.

So, in theory, we have a good chance of collecting alot of League wins and points before the end of the Season.

Although we are ten points off Arsenal in fourth, if we manage to finish strongly in the League, who knows where we will be in the end.

  1. But these are the teams we dropped points against. Remember?

  2. Yes, it the Jekyll and Hyde form that is frustrating. We can win against the likes of Man U, Man City and Chelsea but against lower end teams, somehow we struggle to even make simple passes. I wish Kenny would play Maxi more as he seems to have the connection with Suarez and he is an intelligent player.

Ah well, do you best Liverpool FC and make us believe.

  4. On our day, Liverpool can beat all of the teams on the above fixture-list. (I remember when we used to be able to do just that..) Now, though, they are all potential banana-skins, and that inculdes Wigan and Blackburn.

Maybe it's a good thing if we don't finish in the top four; I've always thought that a team which finishes outside the top one doesn't deserve to be in the Chumpions' League. Or am I just being a traditionalist grouch?

On the other hand, unless I've mis-read the rule-book, Liverpool will be in Europe next season anyway, and that I very much like!
