It seems that Liverpool may be willing to sell star-player Raul Meireles.
The gifted Portuguese midfielder may be available for £11 million.
Chelsea have had an initial bid of £8 million plus Yossi Benayoun rejected by the reds as they do not wish to sell him to a Premier League rival.
However, Andreas Villa-Boas is a keen admirer of his fellow countryman and is desperate to bring him to Chelsea.
I hope this does not happen as Meireles is a very good player for Liverpool, his attacking play from midfield has unlocked many defences since he joined us from FC Porto last season.
He links up very well with Suarez, Kuyt and Maxi to create and score many goals for Liverpool.
I hope he stays at Anfield, despite the daft hair-do's, he is a quality player.
What do you think?
Should we keep the man or sell him?

keep him for sure
ReplyDeletewe should sell him omly if they offer silly money which they are capable of. we can use the cash to buy Juan Manuel Vargas/bryan Ruiz/Adam Johnson.
ReplyDeleteI think we should keep him, he is class, we have already lost Aquilani, we need Meireles.
ReplyDeleteno way should lfc sell him. otherwise what will the squad depth we are boasting for? carol should be benched and mereiles should be acting as a secojd striker to link up with suarez. i would rather say gerrard is in competition with raul, rather than raul being in competition with gerrard. gerrad should now earn his place and not be an automotic starter. it should be based on meritocracy and not being bias. i know kenny will not be bias and will serve the best interesr of lfc rather than individual players. raul should be in the starting line up when he is fit.
ReplyDeleteridiculous concept, sadjid. Carrol benched? Gerrard earn his place? Reach down, between your legs, and pull your g*dd*mn f*wkin head out of your *rse!
ReplyDeleteGerrard has and will continue to earn his place, thank you very much. Whether the other bloke stays or goes is a different matter. Liverpool rejected the offer from Chelsea anyways.
concerning Meireles: gifted player who fits in well. he came in at a low wage which is uncommon and great for the club, and he will either wait and earn a higher wage from this club, or leave to get paid more, or just stay and not be bothered. the club could easily sell him and come out on top but it would nice if it does not.
As long as Gerrard can play he is irreplaceable. And believe you not, he can definately still play, my attention deficite disorder comrade.
unbelievabley ignorant comment...sheesh!
Racist and semi-literate replies today. He is right. Carroll should be benches until he can learn to control a football and Stevie G won't just be walking back in to the side either. Think about it. In who's place? Henderson's? Adam's? nonsense. Thank God for Bobbi?? Thank God for those who have no idea about football and who can't spell?? Nah.
ReplyDeleteWhenever the teams plays without Super -G we seem to do well.
ReplyDeleteTake your racist sh!te and stick it up your *rse!
ReplyDeleteWeak comment, Anonymous. Carroll should be benches? So you are advocating that Andrew Carroll should be more then one bench?
As far as your argument that Steven Gerrard must more than waltz back into the team in place of Henderson because you believe that is nonsense is interesting and I suggest you put your money where your mouth is.
I myself am a betting man, and I would gladly bet against you :)
