MEET LIVERPOOL'S SEXIEST FAN

Caroline Wozniacki
Well, who would have believed it?
Tennis star and WTPA number 1, Caroline Wozniacki is a Liverpool supporter.
The Danish beauty is a massive fan and she revealed that she was at the 2-0 defeat of Chelsea recently.
Ladys tennis's brightest star is seen wearing an Lfc jersey signed by Fernando Torres and he presented the shirt to her at Anfield following the game (lets hope Nando's wife isn't the jealous type).
Caroline said that she hoped her fellow Dane, Daniel Agger would be back playing again soon and described Fernando Torres as an 'elegant footballer'.
Well said, you beauty, lets see much more of you at Anfield!

WOULD ROQUE SANTA CRUZ BE A GOOD BUY FOR LIVERPOOL?

With Liverpool on the lookout for a quality striker in the January transfer window, they could do a lot worse than looking to sign Manchester City's want-away striker, Roque Santa Cruz. The Paraquayan forward, now aged 29, has rarely featured for multi-million Man City since he signed from Blackburn Rovers. In fact, he has only scored 3 times in 20 appearances for the Sky blues.Cruz, however, has been much more prolific throughout his career scoring 23 in 57 starts for Blackburn and 23 in 78 for his national team.
With Sam Allardyyce offering £4 million for the striker to return to Blackburn, should Roy Hodgson have a punt and make a bid for a player who would compliment Fernando Torres upfront?
At a reported £4 million, I would certainly sign him up for Liverpool.

POULSON OR LUCAS V SPURS?

"Well aah", as Sven is given to say on a Saturday, who should we pick in midfield against Spurs on Sunday.
Should it be defensive mid-fielder Poulson who played ok against West Ham on Saturday at Anfield,
I felt Poulson did well against the Hammers Saturday, maybe its time to let Lucas loose on Spurs this weekend to break up the attacks Tottenham are bound to launch against us during the game.

TORRES BACKS HODGSON

.
Welcome news tonight with Fernando Torres backing under-fire manager Roy Hodgson in the lead-up to today's home game against lowly West Ham
‘I have no problem with Hodgson. He’s a very serious coach who in the summer explained to me very clearly what he wanted from me. He has always trusted in me and that’s very important for any footballer.
It is not simple to begin a project with a different coach in a club where it is required to fight for every competition. You have to adapt to new ways to create a winning team and that is never easy.

‘The team are reacting. Not everything has gone as well as we hoped, but if we can put three wins together in a row then the team will be at the right end of the table and we will be more relaxed and play better
‘Although he was here a long time, the (Rafa) Benitez phase at Liverpool is already history. It belongs to the past and now only the present is important to us.
‘For us, football is the only thing we can think about at the moment. We are not as high in the table as we want to be.
'So we need to put space between ourselves and the others. I’m sure we’ll do that and then we can start to look up.’
Great to hear your open commitment to our team Nando, we need more class players like you in our team.
With Miereles likely to play in centre midfield alongside Poulson and hopefully Jovanovic on the wing, we should be good enough to beat the Hammers.

HOULLIER, BENITEZ AND NOW HODGSON, LIVERPOOL DESERVES BETTER THAN THIS!

1990 Liverpool Champions of England for a record 18th time.
2010 and Liverpool are 11th in the Premier League and going backwards under the latest Liverpool manager who has failed to deliver for the famous club.
Roy Evans, Gerrard Houllier, Rafael Benitez and now Roy Hodgon have palpably failed in their times in charge of the famous club.
Houlllier got us to 2nd then imploded as Rafa also did before a diasterous 7th finish left him out of a job until Inter Milan gave him a get-out in Italy.
Today we were toothless against Stoke, of all teams
Let us hope that the new regime of John Henry and NESV have seen enough of this dross and they decide to act in bringing in a top-class manager or else we are in for a relegation dog-fight for the rest of the season, I'm afraid.
Bring back Kenny.

SHOULD POULSEN START AGAINST STOKE?

After a lack-lustre performance mid-week at Wigan and faced with the prospect of playing Tony Pulis's hard-hitting Stoke at the Britannia stadium in the evening kick-off, who will Roy Hodgson pick to cope with the physical demands that the cottagers will undoubtedly pose?
Our midfield against Wigan was out-fought and out-thought for over an hour in that game, with Lucas, Miereles and then young Shelvey failing to compete.
The much-maligned, Christian Poulsen came on late in that game and right away Liverpool looked much more solid in midfield and we nearly got a winner though Stevie G.
However, the former Juventus man, signed by Hodgson, has failed to really impress since his arrival at Anfield.
Too many back-passes, a very defensive approach without imposing himself in games have all served to alienate the player from the Liverpool fans.
Much of it is justified and it is believed that the player himself has been upset by the howls of derision whenever he dons a red-shirt.
But at Stoke, needs must, I feel.
We need a solid midfield.
For this game I would play the improving Lucas alongside Poulsen with Steven Gerrard, Maxi and Miereles or Kuyt in the middle.
It will strengthen our team for a difficult match.
At the back, I think Hodgson will restore the Imperious Sotirios alongside Martin Skrtel, with Jamie Carragher reverting to right-back.
2-1 to the Reds.

WHO SHOULD START AGAINST NAPOLI?

With Liverpool facing a crunch-game against table-toppers Chelsea on Sunday and needing to win a crucial game against Napoli in the Europa League on Thursday, what kind of a team should Roy Hodgson pick against the Italians?
Should he stick with the side that has won back-to-back wins in the Premier League or should he stay with the 'second-string' side which has done so well in Europe this season?
Pepe Reina should start in goal especially after Jones' howlers in the reserves at the weekend.
The back four is a conundrum.
Should he start with Carra, Kelly or play, fit-again, Johnson at right-back.
Maybe he should start Johnson in right-midfield as he is better going forward than he is as a defender.
Should he rest Imperious Sotirios and play Jamie and Skrtel at centre-back, with maybe Fabio Aurelio, finally getting a run-out at left-back?
Midfield: Jonjo Shelvey, Jay Spearing and Christian Poulson along with the forgotten man, Milan Jovanovic should all make the side.
I suppose we should give Ryan Babel, yet another chance along with David Ngog upfront.
With Sunday in mind, that's the team that Roy might pick.
The main thing is, he should have the likes of Torres, Stevie G and Meireles on the bench if we have to rescue the game.
We currently top the group on 5 pts but we really need to win this game to maintain our grip on qualification out of this section of the Europa League group stages.

RAFA:"HE WOULDN'T SEE A PRIEST ON A MOUNTAIN OF SUGAR!"

Rafa Benitez took a quirky, albeit, humorous swipe at his successor at Liverpool, Roy Hodgson.
Last week Hodgson bemoaned the number of "expensive failures" at the club.
But speaking ahead of Inter's match with Spurs, Benitez said: "He's talking about things that he doesn't know."
Rafa said that Hodgson; "Wouldn't see a Priest on top of a mountain of sugar"!
The former Reds boss was speaking at a pre-match press conference ahead of his new team Inter Milan's visit to White Hart Lane tomorrow.
Rafa defended his spending in his 6 years at Anfield: "I had a net spend of £10 million with 13 international players in the team and the team is worth £300 million"
True enough Rafa, but your transfer purchases were, at best, a mixture of good and bad.
Still, keep up the funny comments, they bring a smile to our faces!
